e-harmony dating

Here’s a revealing review from a client of mine and pretty much sums up what I hear from everyone:

I signed up for a three month membership through e-Harmony. I was sent initially several matches. Surprisingly of the ones i was slightly interested in none responded to requests for communication. Of the few that i did make initial contact with it was terribly obvious during our first date that we had no chemistry and our personalities were oil and water!

Here comes the good part. I let my subscription expire…I didn’t cancel it. I still get matches in my email even though my account is not active! Which of course makes me think..hmmm….of all the supposed matches they sent me I wonder just how many did not have an active account????

I made a very nasty phone call to e-Harmony who coughed up a free three month extension. I have gotten total squat for matches. Again the same scenario…no communication, matches that are totally out of line. I am sure that when these three months expire then I will suddenly get a few matches worth looking at in the hopes that I will renew my membership.

I plan to call and ask “What percentage of your members report a successful long term relationship after being matched by your system?” and “What percentage of us report that your service is garbage and a waste of our money”??? I would also like to know if the commercial engagements and marriages are actors or actual matches through e-Harmony?

Regardless…it is sad and unfortunate that e-Harmony is commercializing on the fact of life that we all need and want someone special to love and cherish.

Save your time/money, avoid e-Harmony and stick with top dating sites like Match and Perfect Match.

I was on E-Harmony for 3 months, and ended up being automatically extended and couldn’t get a refund. I wish I had read all these comments before I signed up. You are all correct. I had exactly the same things happen to me. Very few matches, and the one that I did have two dates with there was absolutely no chemistry between us and we both agreed to stop. The program does not work. They are too structured in design and there is no way you can see candidates you might choose. E-Harmony decides for you who the match is or you go without. Kind of like a couple centuries ago when your mate was chosen for you by your family based on your family’s needs and their position in life - no room for chemistry there, and no room for it here either. Don’t waste your money. I like Christian Mingle and Christian Cafe. At least you get to view those on the site and can correspond and decide whether you want to continue and the option to re-enlist is clearly stated. H-Harmony was a very expensive lesson for me - DON’T GO THERE!

  2. User Review # 38

Until now, I thought maybe it was me, but having read through 34 accounts of people being scamed by eHarmoney, I feel a little better. My story sounds familiar, I got courious, did the “profile thing”, recieved tons of matches (some requesting communication), joined on a special offer(88.95 for three months), and at first recieved 8-10 matches a day. I think 1/3 closed communication right away, 1/3 never responded, ever, no way, shape, fashion, or form, and the other 1/3 where totaly wrong! “29 points of compatibility” my butt! Now, I might get one match every two days, always out of my search area, and we match like a square peg and a round hole. Good news, three months are up soon, and no, I will not be rejoining! TO ALL WHO HAVE SUBMITTED REPLYS ABOVE, GOOD LUCK, as for me, single life is looking better and better.

  3. User Review # 37

eHarmony has been a huge disappointment. I rarely get any matches, and when I do, they are all long-distance or we have nothing in common. I can’t figure out what criteria they are using to match me with these individuals. I will not be renewing my subscription. It was a waste of money.
