e-harmony dating

Here’s a revealing review from a client of mine and pretty much sums up what I hear from everyone:

I signed up for a three month membership through e-Harmony. I was sent initially several matches. Surprisingly of the ones i was slightly interested in none responded to requests for communication. Of the few that i did make initial contact with it was terribly obvious during our first date that we had no chemistry and our personalities were oil and water!

Here comes the good part. I let my subscription expire…I didn’t cancel it. I still get matches in my email even though my account is not active! Which of course makes me think..hmmm….of all the supposed matches they sent me I wonder just how many did not have an active account????

I made a very nasty phone call to e-Harmony who coughed up a free three month extension. I have gotten total squat for matches. Again the same scenario…no communication, matches that are totally out of line. I am sure that when these three months expire then I will suddenly get a few matches worth looking at in the hopes that I will renew my membership.

I plan to call and ask “What percentage of your members report a successful long term relationship after being matched by your system?” and “What percentage of us report that your service is garbage and a waste of our money”??? I would also like to know if the commercial engagements and marriages are actors or actual matches through e-Harmony?

Regardless…it is sad and unfortunate that e-Harmony is commercializing on the fact of life that we all need and want someone special to love and cherish.

Save your time/money, avoid e-Harmony and stick with top dating sites like Match and Perfect Match.

I had heard that e-harmony was so good in “matching up” people but now after almost a year being on there I beginning to wonder,, could those commercials also be actors? I came to E-H, as I thought it would be more reputable then Match.com.. I had received so many winks and responses only from woman from Nigeria, Africa and Russia, I mean come on, and I couldnt find one in my own back yard?Well to the woman who thinks all men are jerks because of the weight issue,, it works the opposite way for men,, why are almost woman focused on Height? need proof? look at any Sunday paper and see all the married couples and engaged couples and your own surrounding crowd.. I bet my week;s salary, about 90 percent ( and maybe higher) that the man is TALLER..and woman say.. “size don;’t make a difference” ,, oh please, give it up,.it does.. so if woman have a gripe about being Big and Beautiful , and there are men who like them that way..there should be more woman who should be able to spot a good , quality man ,, who may be a little vertically impairted..:-)And Match.com also seems to “Magically” find me matches , but only AFTER my subscription has expired..the reason is the old bait and hook,, they bait you into a false hope , hook you up to a subscription, then you find out,, those users names they sent you doesn;t exist.. thats Fraud!!Guess I will try Perfect. Match.. ( is there any that work)?lol

    to Pat Harnage:

Pat, I find it surprising to see that you look at the situation (you being unable to see the photos of your matches) so “one-sidedly”. Whay can’t you respect the ladies’ preference to NOT let everyopne see their photo right from the start? It is their preference and choice, both of which they have every right for..
I myself chose to allow all matches (provided they were paying members with eHarmony) to see my photos, but I can understand why not every lady would want to share her photo on the first stage of your communication.
Why blame eHarmony for respecting their clients’ preference and choice?

WOW! Wish I had read these comments before I joined eharmony!!! I have all these supposed matches that haven’t answered back. And the one that actually went to open communication, the guy asked me how much I weighed!! This was after talking to him on the phone! I have a current picture of me on the profile, which he could see! After I answered him, and told him I hope it met he “chemistry” requirement, he closed the match because he didn’t think the chemistry was there, and he wanted to pursue more matches on eharmony! Now, who was telling him that he couldn’t do that!! Are all men just jerks? Are they that superficial!? Give me Match.com!!!
