e-harmony dating
Here’s a revealing review from a client of mine and pretty much sums up what I hear from everyone:

I signed up for a three month membership through e-Harmony. I was sent initially several matches. Surprisingly of the ones i was slightly interested in none responded to requests for communication. Of the few that i did make initial contact with it was terribly obvious during our first date that we had no chemistry and our personalities were oil and water!

Here comes the good part. I let my subscription expire…I didn’t cancel it. I still get matches in my email even though my account is not active! Which of course makes me think..hmmm….of all the supposed matches they sent me I wonder just how many did not have an active account????

I made a very nasty phone call to e-Harmony who coughed up a free three month extension. I have gotten total squat for matches. Again the same scenario…no communication, matches that are totally out of line. I am sure that when these three months expire then I will suddenly get a few matches worth looking at in the hopes that I will renew my membership.

I plan to call and ask “What percentage of your members report a successful long term relationship after being matched by your system?” and “What percentage of us report that your service is garbage and a waste of our money”??? I would also like to know if the commercial engagements and marriages are actors or actual matches through e-Harmony?

Regardless…it is sad and unfortunate that e-Harmony is commercializing on the fact of life that we all need and want someone special to love and cherish.

Save your time/money, avoid e-Harmony and stick with top dating sites like Match and Perfect Match.

I wish I would have done my research and found this website “before” coughing up a 3 month subscription to eHarmony !!!!!! At the urging of a fun loving friend, I took the eHarmony profile test just for giggles. I did not realize that I would be receiving matches. Just out of curiosity, I looked at the list and the third one down, with an usual but not often heard name, was very very interesting and “seemed perfect”!!!!! He was so “perfect for me” in fact that it prompted me to do the most craziest thing I’ve ever done with my money and spend $110 (of which I really could not afford with two kids in college) for a 3 month membership. Low and behold, once the membership was processed, this “perfect guy” “closed communication” by the standard “pursuing another relationship at this time.” My spirit was crushed by how stupidly gullible I had been!!!!! I started reviewing the other matches and found they were from other states or were totally wrong for me. That is when I realized that the “perfect guy” “could have been” a set up by eHarmony to lure me to paying for a membership. Upon this realization, I started researching and found this websit, as well as others, with numerous complaints and expeniences as I had just encountered with eHarmony. Love is definitely blind and tends to make normal rational people do stupid things as putting the cart-before-the-horse as I had done. I immediatly canceled my membership with eHarmony and promptly received an e-mail stating that my membership was non-refundable but they would cancel any additional charges to my credit card. This will be a great reminder that research should always come before pursuing something new and different. I’ve always been an old fashion girl and probably should stick to old fashion dating methods. Thank you so much for your websit. You are doing a great service, and I pray that others will read this site before venturing off into uncharted waters.

I tried eHarmony for 3 months last year. It became a more trouble to get rid of them, then the one person I ended up communicating with all the way through the time when we would meet. More on him later. I received enough matches from eHarmony but some were as far away as Washington State and I live in California! I requested a 50 mile radius, not over 500 miles! Someone data tech must be illiterate! I did get one match of interest and we communicated online through eHarmony process for about 4 weeks. I was hoping to meet this wonderful man but at the last point where we could go no further but meet, he dropped out of site. Must have been a married man or a ‘plant’ by eHarmony to keep me on the line…

I never recommend eHarmony to my single friends…never.
