Plenty of Fish Reviews

I had involvement in the functioning of the site for a few years, and the real underlying reason for it's poor quality is fake profiles. Despite the fact M. Friend supposedly filters these out, they are nevertheless more than welcome by him as it attracts freebie users which power his profit-oriented google ads.

Fake profiles come about for 3 reasons.

1. Disgruntled people wanting to get even with men/women, the site, or site owner.

2. Competing dating sites running "ugly" people bots, or rude responders.

3. Friend himself creating tons of fakes to counter-balance the above with good-looking types which do not respond.

This creates the illusion POF is a huge site with massive selection, but only attracts the "come & go" crowd resulting in revolving-door ad-clicks, which is the bottom line for the site anyways.

POF is not about dating - it's about money. M. Friend originally painted himself the savior of crooked dating sites and then winds up running the biggest scam of them all.

If you are interested in a meat market and don't want to go to a bar POF this site is for you. If you want a real relationship, have morals and values look elsewhere. EHarmony here I come..if I can pay for a decent dating site then it might be worth it. POF....shame on you....

If a new free dating site were to come on the market...what would everyone want on it? Better detailed questions, better security, better customer support, only have a site devoted to people wanting relationships or everyone, getting better match's, etc? Would the site be better if it had bigger pictures and customized profiles (adding different colour backgrounds?) Everyone please comment on things you would like to see or change on dating sites!
