Pretty much the bottom of the barrel of dating sites. If "quality" is important, stick with top dating sites like Perfect Match or eHarmony.

I agree
I registered at POF because of my female friend talked to me about it. She was talking about the jerks she met there and how they were only interested in sex.
So out of curiosity, I went and registered. I tried twice to be honest. Both failure, very stuck women, some really lives in a fantasy land. You can see who viewed your profile, checked your email, delete or open them and it is quite annoying to see people deleting your email without reading it.
Also, the superficiality of some in their profile, I won't respond if you do grammar errors! Come on, some idiots are idiots enough to let maybe something good happens for such little details as its or it's....
It is a game number, like a saleman trying to pitch the more people so is SOP, contact more people in hoping they will reply... Well that's the truth.
Also, just for fun, me and my friend created a profile of a handsome youngman with abs (pics of my bodybuilder friend) with a profile saying he was a doctor with nice tweaked info and it was disgusting to see the messages flying through from across the world.
Plenty of Fish, plenty of jerks
don't waste your time there, or if you like comedy....

I tried POF last year and met what I thought was a great guy. He was well educated, well read, caring, seemed to have a strong moral compass and family values, and the list goes on. He was in Oregon and I was in New Jersey. We developed a serious relationship and he visited me a few times. I thought he was the "one."
Long story short, he proposed to me, I accepted, and at the end of September of last year, I sold pretty much everything I owned to move from New Jersey to Colorado Springs where we were to make a fresh start (much of his family is in CO). Suffice it to say that you never know someone until you live with them. Then I found out that he had bad credit, was financially irresponsible, and I wound up with $4,400 debt on my credit card because of my relationship with this man. We broke up two months ago but he still hasn't made any attempt to pay me back. Plus, since I sold everything I owned, life isn't very easy for me at the current time.
Other than my experience with him, I've found POF to be the worst dating site on the internet. The site is filled with socially inept men (and I'm sure women), most of whom are liars, cheaters, and pretty much undateable. The same old photos and the same old losers year after year. I'm paying dearly for my mistake, but it's a mistake I'll never make again. PerfectMatch has the best reviews and IMO would be a great way to go if you'd like to meet someone of substance who is serious about finding love.

i found plenty of fish to be a complete waste of time, most of the men on there arent genuine, and no one much is looking for anything more than casual sex. Anyone genuine, i would say dont go on there.
