I'm a genuine and traditional kind of guy who just moved to a new city and was hoping POF would end my woman searching adventures but after being on there for about a month and a half, I was sold a false dream, but on the other hand I'm glad to see that there are so many people who have the same perspective as I do about POF. I had done an experiment once where I would send out bulk messages to see who was actually decent enough to respond. About 4 "unread deleted", 4-6 "read deleted" about 7-8 "read", and the rest just never bothered reading them. I've left messages to people I would never expect to find anything online and even those and the ones just looking for friendship are picky!! Of course you have the "who viewed me" section but as in a lot of the previous comments the women just look at your pictures and just move on. Personally I feel that a lot of these women know each other i.e most profiles sound the same, "I'm looking for Mr Right", "don't contact me if you're just looking for sex", and the famous mislead "I'm a down to earth girl who is open to meet anybody" most of these women have the same intentions and it never changes, you're just providing false advertising until you get your first real encounter. Many have similar jobs like nursing, teacher, receptionist, HR, or my personal favorite "nanny" haha. I'm sure there's maybe one decent lady but that's 1 in 100. But before I go I leave you with this, a piece from a profile I will never forget, and I quote-- "I will never respond to your messages seeing as we're probably not compatibale and I won't find you interesting"

I could say the same thing about the men on POF. They say they are looking for someone "NICE", someone to spend time with, good girls, but the first thing they want is SEX. The comments from the men on this site are awful, what were they doing there on the site if they aren't looking for the same thing the women are? I am not only more than acceptable to take home to mom but she would probably like me more than her own son and wonder what I see in him!!!! I have been on that site for two year and there are some very nice men on it, but the others are looking for women who are a size -0-, young and just want to jump into bed.... So why don't you guys look at yourselves instead of blaming us!!!

I have to agree, there are no good prospects on this dating site. I do believe anyone is really serious about meeting someone, I am deleting my profile. POF is a waste of time and I do not recommend it.
