POF is a complete waste of time.

My experience is that no one on there is serious on either side about dating.

I ran an experiment just to see the results from a week scenario.

Posted a friend's photo with a basic profile.

The guys on there are pathetic. The results from email responses were so shameful, I was ready to delete the profile after an hour. One liners, sexual inuendos, lousy pictures, and overall bad grammar.

Women on POF are equally as bad. A lot of ladies on there say they want a NICE guy, but want nothing of the sorts. Any responses recieved on there are based off pictures and nothing written in the profiles or emails sent to them. It also seems to be a haven for unemployed, single mothers with no intentions of working, students. Many seem to enjoy handing out rejections based on their experience from a lousy weekend where they found no one at the bar so they pass it along online.

Experienced stand-ups, e-pals, women hinting marriage within 6 weeks of dating, and no one seriously considering a substantial relationship.

I am a 35 years old, divorced, civil engineer with no kids, and maintain a very active lifestyle.

My profiles have had pictures taken with the last 6 months and a monthly updated profile description.

I usually write a letter based off the others profile rather than sending a cheesy one-liner pick up.

The majority of letters were read and kept on a shelf gathering dust for 3 weeks til POF deletes them to save room.

Seemed like a waste of time overall.

I met at least five men from POF. All had good profiles and were gentlemen. I think it is hilarious that they are still on the site. You would think they would have found someone by now. I was not the person for them even though my profile is true and I am nice on the eyes. I think some men just wnat to see what is out there. Too bad they will miss the nice ones because of their searching for what????

One date wanted to get physical on the second date!!1 I will try another mature, quality site!!

This is the worst site. I've met nothing but strange after about six months or so. One guy stood me up twice. Another made a date and then disappeared from the site. Another traveled two hours to take me out to dinner and talked about nothing but himself, politics, and his love of God and Jesus. I am very clear on my profile that I am not a Christian. Geesh. Get me out of here!!
