I, too, found Singlesnet.com to be the single, worst, dating website I've ever used. And, dare I admit, that I've used many over more than a decade. As others have found, once you become a member, you have no search engine available to you. You can't choose age groups, heights, education levels, smoking vs. non, etc. The other thing about Singlesnet.com that I find totally bogus is that every time some one looks at my profile it automatically generates an email that states, "so and so is interested in you!" Probably 90% of the time, however, the exact opposite is true. "So and so" reviewed my profile and left no response at all as she feels we're not a match. Singlesnet.com seems to take advantage of this to provide everyone with a "feel good" message, which, to a serious user, is a waste of time.

Sorry, Singlesnet.com, but the quality just isn't there. You need to make improvements before your price is justified!
